Who are Avren Events?

Avren Events, part of Clarion Events Limited is known for its in-depth, expertly researched series of conferences and exhibitions in the telecoms sector, having held global summits around topics including Small Cells, Carrier Wi-Fi, Backhaul, ITSF, HetNets, RAN, LPWA and IoT since 2007. Over 3,500 of the most influential senior managers from across the mobile access ecosystem attend Avren Events every year.

Avren Events is part of Clarion Events, a global business-to-business event organiser with over 650 staff in offices in the UK, Netherlands, Germany, United States, South Africa, Brazil, UAE and Singapore, Avren Events has over 80 years of in-house expertise at a high level in the wireless business and is able to construct unrivalled programmes of speakers and topics that get to the very heart of the issues facing operators, manufacturers, regulators and consumers. 

Do you still run the Small Cells World Series?

We do! But under a new name. Previously the Small Cells World Series and Carrier Wi-Fi World Series, the events and agendas have been merged to create SCWS World Series. This new positioning enables us to encompass the entire ecosystem of Small Cells, Wi-Fi, DAS and related technologies and service a wider range of market players.

Run in exclusive partnership with the Small Cell Forum, the SCWS series celebrates its 10th year in 2016. The theme for the events will be "Commercializing the Mobile Edge". Stuart Barker, Portfolio Director, explains: "The industry has seen a huge amount of change during 2015 - from changing forecasts and new deployments to the emergence of new business models and development of new service opportunities. For equipment and solution suppliers with the right offerings, SCWS events provide a golden opportunity to work with operators and other verticals that are looking to monetize network connectivity".

Who do you work with?

The SCWS series is organized in partnership with the Small Cell Forum, and endorsed by associations including the Wi-Fi Alliance, 3GPP, ETSI, GSMA, Wimax Forum, HTNG, ATIS and the Competitive Carriers Association. The RAN (Radio Access Network) series of events is endorsed by industry associations including the above, and also 5GPPP, AISG, Telecom Council of Silicon Valley and NGMN. LPWA was founded with the support of LoRa Alliance, Weightless SIG, GSMA Mobile IoT, 3GPP and the Wireless IoT Forum. All our event programs are compiled in consultation with industry analysts, consultants, global and regional mobile operators, ISPs, MSOs, technology end-users from enterprise and government, and telecoms/technology vendors from all levels of the supply chain.
