Bristol International Airport - 15 miles

  • Bristol International Airport has excellent regional and European flights and also regular flights to New York. You can take a taxi from the airport to the Bath Spa Hotel (approx 45 mins transfer time) or a bus link to Bristol train station and then a train to Bath Spa station and a taxi to the Bath Spa Hotel.

Heathrow International - 90 miles

  • The train service to Bath will take about 2-2.5 hours. Heathrow Airport has an express train service every 15 minutes – Heathrow Express – to take passengers from the Airport to London Paddington train station in 15 minutes. From London Paddington there is a fast train service direct to Bath Spa which takes approximately 1.5 hours – the service is every 30 minutes on weekdays but on Sundays it is approximately one train per hour starting from 08:00 (see www.nationalrail.co.uk under “Planning Your Journey”). At Bath Spa station you can take a taxi to the Bath Spa Hotel – less than 10 minute journey.

Gatwick Airport - 120 miles

  • There is a regular train service from Gatwick to London Paddington. Bath Spa station is about one mile from the hotel; the travel time from London is 1hr 20 mins with trains at least hourly. There is a good service to Birmingham and the North via Bristol.
Directions from London:

Exit the M4 at junction 18 and take the A46 to Bath - approximately eight miles until the major roundabout. At the roundabout turn right joining the A4 and follow the signs for 'City Centre'. After one mile at the junction of the A36 and the traffic lights, turn left following the signs for the A36. Follow the road over Cleveland Bridge and past the Fire Station. At the mini roundabout turn right and then take the next left, after the Holburne Museum, into Sydney Place. The entrance to The Bath Spa Hotel is 200 yards up the hill on the right hand side.

Directions from Bristol:

After the dual carriageway take the Lower Bristol Road (A36) into the City through two sets of traffic lights. Follow the one-way system and the signs for the A36. Weave under the railway, around the back of the station and pass the Stakis hotel on your left. At the next set of traffic lights, proceed ahead under the railway bridge, go straight over the next roundabout and then turn right into Sydney Place (by the Holburne Museum). The entrance to The Bath Spa Hotel is 200 yards up the hill on the right hand side.
