FEMTOCELL APPLICATIONS Live will bring together the latest examples of femtocell services* from vendors and operators, giving insight into how these services will enhance the Ôdigital homeÕ and enrich the experience of consumers in the future .

 

Since the early days, the femtocell industry has been discussing the potential for exciting new revenue generating services based around the femtocell.  In this context, operators have consistently emphasised how important such services will be to the commercial success of femtocells.

Application Guidelines for Companies wishing to Participate in FEMTOCELL APPLICATIONS Live

 

The event is intended to

 

á      stimulate discussion and promotion of femtocell enabled services/applications within the media

á      encourage wider participation by the mobile web applications development community in creating innovative services harnessing the potential of the femtocell hub.

 

Eligibility:

 

á      Only those applications which have a ÔliveÕ element will be eligible to feature in the showcase

o   pre-recorded demonstrations, application simulations, will not be included.

o   simple demonstrations of phone/data calls via a femtocell gateway will also not count as an ÔapplicationÕ in themselves.

á      Applications to participate will be reviewed by a panel from the Femto Forum and Avren Events.

 

Brochure: a brochure for FEMTOCELL APPLICATIONS Live will be provided to all visitors containing information about femtocells, a guide to the demonstrations on display and information about the companies participating.

 

Showcase Format: FEMTOCELL APPLICATIONS Live will feature a series of 10 minute presentations during which participants can demonstrate their applications running on/over femtocells.  Depending on the number of participating companies the demonstrations will be repeated throughout the 2 hour period with the likelihood of up to two demonstrations running in parallel. Visitors will be encouraged to circulate around the staged demonstrations in the exhibition space.

 

 

To Enter:

 

Prospective participants must submit the following to be considered for inclusion in FEMTOCELL APPLICATIONS Live:-

 

1.     Up to 200 words describing in detail the applications/services that will be demonstrated and how they meets the eligibility criteria. They must clearly state the role of the femtocell in enabling the applications (as opposed to WiFi based services for example).

2.     A precise bullet point list of what will be demonstrated during the 10 minute period (suitable for inclusion in the event brochure and for public consumption/understanding).

3.     Company Name, Contact Address, Contact Person for event.
